Rising Tide is a 4 piece rock band that is "Rising" in popularity in the San Francisco Bay area. The band prides itself on its interaction with the audience, great danceable music, some great songs for listening, great songs when they are drinking, and the ability to draw a nice number of "Friends" wherever they play.
Vocalist
New on the Bay Area music scene, and a must see - must come listen to vocalist, who has tons of energy that keeps the eyes of the audience on the stage. Eric is capable of covering great vocal band music from such bands as Journey, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson, U2, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Tom Petty, and more.
Sings higher than most of you girls.
Guitar & Lead Vocals
Longtime Bay Area guitarist (and former lead guitarist for the Air Force Band's first rock band – Mach One - Washington D.C.) who provides guitar and lead vocals. Mike enjoys playing covers of guitar legends such as Santana, Robin Trower, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and his personal favorite George Benson. You will enjoy many different sounds from Mike as he uses his guitar synthesizer to produce very realistic horn sections, saxophones, pianos, organs and more.
In the band for the over 50 groupies.
Bass
Originally, a very fine classical guitarist, he added bass to his list of instruments. Jim provides a great sound and groove to band with his meticulous copying of bass parts on the many different songs the band plays. Always locking in great rhythmic feels with Beau, he is the perfect finish to a great sounding band, all done while adding vocal harmony parts.
Best dressed. Full time golfer.
Drummer
The band's drummer and one of the youngest pro drummers in the bay area. (18) While others play metal, Beau plays all styles. From jazz combos, ska bands, dance bands, and yes - metal. Go to Tree Village on facebook to see Beau and his brother Dorian Askew (Mike's oldest son) and his full time band and main musicial pursuit
Our Very First Gig
(Mike Askew) is an option that you may wish to consider. We call it "The Best of Both Worlds". You can hire Mike just for disc jockey service, or even better, request both the band and disc jockey. The music will be non-stop, and whatever the band is unable to play for you, can provide the original recording. Imagine the band plays, and for the breaks you have a disc jockey.
